Now for the Fun Stuff

So last time, we got all the nitty-gritty writing and journaling details out of Cynthia Dawn Griffin. This time, however, we are going to get some inside scoop on Dawn and her likes and dislikes.

Are you a morning person or a night owl?

Mornings? Boo! Not a morning person! I often don’t roll out of bed before 10 am. I’ve always preferred the night, and many times stay up late at night reading.

Favorite author?

I have to pick just one? Yikes. I have many such as Christopher Moore, J.K. Rowling, and James S.A. Corey for fiction. And Don Miguel Ruiz for nonfiction. (I’m with you–too many good authors out there to name just one!)

If you could take a trip anywhere in the world, where would you pick and what would you do there?

See I wouldn’t go just one place. I want to see the entire world. But if I could pick the highlights… I want to see the art in Italy and the lay on the beaches of Tahiti.shutterstock_643472131.jpg

What TV show did you religiously watch as a kid?

My parents were strict about what we could and could not watch as kids, so I was stuck with certain shows like Little House on the Prairie and The Andy Griffith Show. But little did they know, I liked to sneak a tape in the VCR and record episodes of JAG to watch later when they weren’t home (because for some reason they thought JAG wasn’t appropriate for kids to watch… lol).

I also loved to watch Star Trek and Star Wars whenever I could sneak those in too. Continue reading “Now for the Fun Stuff”

An Interview with Cynthia Dawn Griffin

Have you seen Dawn’s new website? If not, you need to stop by and check it out! Here’s the link: https://cynthiadgriffin.com/

After I noticed she made major changes,I had a bunch of questions for her! Lucky for you (and  me) she was more than willing to give me some answers. I decided I would share them with you.

I hope you enjoy my interview with Dawn!

I noticed the website has a new look and feel to it. What prompted the change?

I’ve been interested in growing and expanding my site in what I offer and the message I’m trying to put out there. So far it’s all been about writing, and I did start a Speak Your Truth series last year, because I felt the need to switch gears for a while to go deeper and have more meaningful content. Now I want to combine the two worlds. My blog will still be about writing, but I also want for it to be about personal empowerment.

I have been on a journey the last few years to improve and increase my personal empowerment, and I want to help others do the same. I plan to do this through online classes, continue with Speak Your Truth series, as well as become a motivator to help people to become the best versions of themselves.  Continue reading “An Interview with Cynthia Dawn Griffin”
