I wanted to share a #teaser from Avery’s upcoming release. It is one of several stories in Apple Bites, a Back-to-School romance anthology that will be released the end of August.
Perry’s Cherry is an M-M Romance with some heat! The stories in the anthology were limited to 3K words, and Perry’s Cherry comes in right under that limit.
Here’s the blurb:
As Perry Anderson prepares for his freshman year of college, word reaches him that an earthquake has rendered his dorm unlivable. Alternate arrangements have been made, and Perry finds himself sharing a room with senior Nick Freeland. Perry can’t help but think he’s going to cramp the senior’s style, if not ruin his reputation.
Nick is grumpy at Perry’s unwelcome intrusion. But Perry finds himself attracted to the sullen senior. Labor Day arrives, and neither guy has plans other than to stay on campus… until Nick suggests a trip to a private club called Marchello’s.
Perry walks into the club naïve and inexperienced. But after what he sees, he may not leave in the same condition. Perry’s about to get a college education of another kind…
And now for the teaser…
Looking over his shoulder, Nick asked, “You ready?”
“Sure, what’s there—” Perry started, but stopped when his voice cracked. Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea…
Nick’s eyes twinkled in the overhead light. He laughed. “Take a breath, Perry. I won’t let anything happen to you.” He quickly amended his statement. “Well, nothing you don’t want to happen.”
From later in the story…
Deciding he needed to gain control—and quickly—Perry stepped out of Nick’s hold. He took a gulp of his drink before answering. “Yes, it’s fine.”
“Uh-huh.” Nick stepped back into Perry’s space, pressing his front to Perry’s back. “Wanna dance?”
Walking toward an open stool, Perry said, “Nah, you go ahead. I’ll watch.” He really needed some time to process what was going on. Starting with the fact they were in a gay club. Then, moving on to what Nick wanted with him, because it appeared to involved nakedness and well…yeah…he wasn’t going there yet.
“Have it your way.”
