My nose is either running like a faucet turned wide open or stuffed up like a tooth impacted beneath the gums. Not to mention the clogged ears, sore throat, and low grade fever. Life from my neck up isn’t so good right now!
In between drinking copious amounts of orange juice and running to the bathroom, I’ve been considering the fate of my book review blog. I think I am pretty close to deleting it. I don’t update it nearly often enough, and I find that I would much rather start a new book than take the time to write a review of the one I just finished. Besides, reading comprehension was never my strong suit. I read to fast to remember most of what I read.
I did manage to finish Twice Bitten by Chloe Neill. It is the third book in the Chicagoland Vampire series. I think Merit and Ethan, whom the author has described as resembling David Beckham with longer hair (hence the photo), are my favorite non-couple couple. Maybe in the next book they will become a couple for longer than a sneeze. They are a close second behind Kate and Curran an actual couple couple (even though it took until Book 4 for it to happen). Two athletic, kick-ass women paired with two strong alpha males. And yes, ladies, Kate and Merit don’t take poop from either one of their men nor are they afraid to speak their minds.
Well, that would be it for my post tonight. It is time for more medicine and a fresh box of tissues.
